Exactly 135 days after the previous coach's initial media briefing as Rangers head coach, his replacement Danny Rohl met with reporters at Rangers' stadium for the initial occasion.

The scale of the task facing him is widely recognized, considering Martin's turbulent and disappointing 123-day tenure.

The former Sheffield Wednesday manager was accompanied by chairman the chairman, along with the much-criticized duo of sporting director Thelwell and chief executive Stewart.

But what exactly was revealed from the 36-year-old German's maiden media outing as the club's manager?

The Manager's Primary Focus - Winning Comes First

One thing emerged loud and clear from the new coach's first appearance before the local press - he understands the necessity to win matches, and achieve this rapidly.

His predecessor Russell Martin managed just 17 games and 123 days in charge, so the question emerged about how long Rohl believes is realistic to turn around the underperforming squad.

Although deftly avoiding a direct answer that could bring future pressure, Rohl's message was very evident.

"With hope as soon as possible," he said. "This is essential.
"In this business you have not much time. You can discuss future plans but we know it concerns immediate results and the short-term is about winning games. This is what I demand.
"One thing remains obvious - I need all players to comprehend how we want to perform. I come back to my primary message: victory comes first, entertaining football and it's together. If you follow this order, I'm convinced that I'll stay very long at the club."

Expectations are Normal

The previous manager needed a police escort to leave the stadium after his final game in charge.

We've witnessed how toxic situations can turn at football clubs when performances decline. Demonstrations have nearly become a regular aspect of the matchday experience on each part of Glasgow these days.

As the club's most youthful manager in history, the inquiry asked about which attributes the coach thinks he has that would enable him to handle, never mind excel, in among the most pressurized positions in British football?

"I think expectations in this business are standard," he commented. "You must learn that rapidly.
"I think some people could reference my youth but I'm a decade and a half in this career. I experienced a great chance to be at Bayern Munich and serve as only an assistant coach, but I felt what it means to be a head coach and the demands you face.
"When you start winning games and then certain people will say you need to produce entertaining football. That's the next stage but that's exactly what I want. I enjoy those expectations and I look forward for the future."

The Sporting Director Defends Chermiti Signing & Hiring Family Member

Kevin Thelwell media conference

The media pack had plenty of inquiries from the media directed at Thelwell.

Much discussion has concerned the hiring of his son as recruitment chief, with fans skeptical about his credentials for the position.

However, he justified and explained the decision to recruit his son to Ibrox.

"It's always uncomfortable to hear and in appearance I believe we all agreed when we made this step to appoint Robbie that he'd be seen negatively," Thelwell stated.
"The truth of the situation is that we want to bring the very best talent to this club.
"My view on Robbie's career and situation is he didn't need family help in soccer.
"He's worked at Aston Villa as head scout, he then moved to Norwich as scouting chief and then was elevated to player pathways manager.
"Prior to our recruited him, multiple Premier League teams sought to acquire him. What we did from the beginning of proceedings was discuss with the CEO, the chairman and deputy chairman Paraag Marathe about this situation.
"I was highly open and I think he likely underwent a more rigorous process than anybody else who's employed by the team.
"What I do know is that he'll labor constantly to achieve success for Rangers and I'm looking forward to him demonstrating that he's going to be an excellent employee for the club."

Thelwell also supported the signing of striker Chermiti, who joined Rangers for an alleged initial fee of £8m, having failed to find the net in 24 appearances for his previous club.

The sporting director who transferred the Portuguese young international to Liverpool from Sporting - again for large funds in a £15m deal.

He was asked if he stands by his expensive purchase, who is yet to register in seven outings for the club.

"Absolutely, very much so," Thelwell responded. "I believe the striker is a player who's possesses huge potential.
"I haven't doubted him in any way. Again, I think the manager will help to get the best out of the player.
"It's very initial stages for the young player, he's a young talent and of course with inexperienced players they sometimes take time.
"But I'm certain over the course of his career here he's going to prove that he is very, very good player."

Stewart Acknowledges Fan Disappointment and Hurt

Stewart was also in the media firing line, considering the criticism that has been directed at him by certain club own supporters.

There was even a sign in the Sandy Jardine stand during the last draw with United inviting Stewart - and Thelwell - to pack his bags before they were packed for them.

Like his sporting director, the CEO did not avoid the topic.

"I completely appreciate the disappointment and anger that fans are feeling because results recently haven't been expectations and nobody's happy with them," he said.
"The pain and frustration they feel is matched inside the leadership.
"Recognize that there has to be a channel for those frustrations and as chief executive, that's me.
"I'm a lightning rod for those and my role as a
